Abyss and Bloom

This artwork was inspired by the duality of transformation—the kind that begins in darkness and slowly moves toward light. It came from a time of deep reflection, where the heaviness of uncertainty gave way to unexpected clarity, like watching something quietly bloom at the bottom of the ocean.

The deep textures represent the abyss: shadowed, vast, and untamed. Pigments were layered to feel submerged, as if light struggles to reach the floor of something endless.

Abyss and Bloom is a tribute to resilience. It speaks to what grows in us quietly, in unseen places. It reminds us that even when surrounded by stillness or darkness, there is a bloom underway—fragile perhaps, but powerful enough to surface.
